Convert Text to a Field

Comments(0) Let’s say you have a piece of text that you want to automatically display the current date. Adding a field to text is the easiest way to do it.
Edit the text (command: DDEDIT; or double-click on the text), delete the contents, right-click and select “Insert Field…”
Then select the Date field name and select a format:
The final result will look something like:
Fields are powerful! Experiment with them. I often create fields just to see what they can do.
