Benefits of the Annotative Multileader
I used to use Quick Leaders (command: QLEADER) in past versions of AutoCAD. In AutoCAD 2007/2008 they introduced annotative scaling for text, leaders, etc. I was excited about the possibilities of annotative scaling but was disappointed when I applied annotative scaling to Quick Leaders. When I would change the annotative scale in a drawing the text would either seperate from or overlap the leader. This was a problem!
Then I discovered Multileaders (commands: MLEADER, MLEADERSTYLE). With a Multileader, the leader is aware of it’s relationship with the text. It is smart enough to automatically readjust the leader with the text when the annotative scale is changed. Plus when you edit the Multileader style, all your Multileaders are automatically updated.
Thank Autodesk for adding the Multileader along with annotative scaling!
